The following are some of the naturopathic modalities that we use in clinical practice:

Clinical Nutrition
Botanical Medicine
Homeopathy
Biotherapeutic Drainage
Flower Essences
Physical Medicine

Clinical Nutrition
At Whole Family Wellness Center, we believe that whole foods play an integral role not only in our health, but also for our community at large. We emphasize and incorporate nutrition as part of our treatment program to support every individual's healing process. We tailor our programs to every person's nutritional needs to bring the most efficacious and profound changes on all levels of well-being. When it is appropriate, we prescribe additional nutrients that may be necessary to correct the imbalance and aid the body's natural processes of healing at a cellular level.

Botanical Medicine
Plants have been and continue to be used as medicine in many cultures and traditions. Botanical medicines can be very effective when used properly. It is always important to consider that many botanical medicines are powerful and can be toxic when are used incorrectly or are simply abused. Before taking any botanical preparations, it is best to refer to a trained professional who is able to consider potential side effects and interactions between plant medicines and pharmaceutical prescriptions.

Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a philosophy and a system that is based on the idea that body, mind, and emotions are not separate but are fully integrated. This system was first introduced by a German physician, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, over 200 years ago. In the practice of homeopathy, physicians use very dilute substances derived from plants, animals and minerals to address a range of acute and chronic conditions. Finding the appropriate homeopathic remedy depends upon gaining a complete understanding of the patient as a whole person. This means that it is essential to take note of the physical, mental and emotional levels of each person before deciding on a correct remedy. The most fundamental principle of a homeopathic prescription is to choose a remedy that stimulates the body’s own healing processes.

Biotherapeutic Drainage
Biotherapeutic drainage is a philosophy and methodology of healing which has been used in Europe for over 100 years. Its primary role is to assist the body's individual systems to eliminate toxins at a cellular level. The effects of physical, emotional, and environmental stressors are pollutants that affect both the inside of our cells and the space between the cells. Inadequate cellular communication results in suboptimal physiological function of our bodies, which leads to chronic disease. Biotherapeutic drainage utilizes individual homeopathic preparations, which are gentle and deep-acting, and affect very specific target tissues and organs. This technique improves both the cell-to-cell and cell-to-organ communication. The use of this methodology, along with other therapies, provides a more effective approach to restoring balance and finding the root cause of disease.

Flower Essences
Flower Essences are similar to homeopathic remedies in that they are very small dilutions of flowers. This system was first introduced in 1930 by an English physician, Dr. Edward Bach. The remedies are safe and gentle, and are used to address mental/emotional states that contribute to physical imbalances and disease.

Physical Medicine
Proper body dynamics and structural alignment directly affect your body's function. Therefore, as part of your comprehensive healthcare program, we may utilize physical modalities when needed to provide additional support in your healing process. Our physical medicine services include structural integration, naturopathic soft tissue and manipulation techniques.

Note: As part of our approach to integrative and wholistic healthcare, we collaborate with physical therapists, chiropractors, and other healthcare professionals in the community to aid your healing process.
