Please join us for our regular natural health and nutrition classes & events

Make sure to reserve your spot, spaces are limited.  Please submit your request using the contact form on this page.  We do rotate our class schedule, in case the one you register for is full.  All classes are held from 6:30-8:00 pm unless otherwise specified.

 

2012

  • October 25 & November 13, 2012: Introduction to Fermentation Class.  Join us for a discussion, demonstration, and tasting of several fermented foods in this Fall Introduction to Fermentation Class. Menu including but not limited to Rejevulac, Beet Kvass, and Sauerkraut.  [Fee - $25]
  • November 8 & 16, 2012: Basics of Nutrition Class.   We will discuss a properly prepared, nutrient dense, whole foods diet. Come learn how to eat like our ancestors did…Without Food Labels!  [Fee - $15]
  • December 6, 2012:  Holiday Class.  In this special Holiday Class join us in learning how to make healthy, delicious holiday treats and gifts. Explore the ease of homemade date rolls, cranberry ginger apple kraut, apricot jam, garlic ginger carrots, and the list goes on!  [Fee - $25]

 

2013

  • January 24, 2013:  The Basics of Paleo & GAPS diet.  This information packed class will discuss both Paleo Nutrition and the basics of the GAPS Diet. Join us in learning how to fine tune your diet regimen and receive tools for your continued dietary success.  [Fee - $20]
  • February 28, 2013:No Rules Fermentation’ Class.  Learn how to explore fermentation in a creative, rewarding, ‘No Rules’ approach. Join us for a discussion, demonstration, and tasting of several fermented foods. Come prepared to try many new foods!  [Fee - $25]
  • March 2013: No Class, Happy Spring Break!
  • April 10, 2013:No Rules Fermentation’ Class. (back by popular demand!)  Learn how to explore fermentation in a creative, rewarding, ‘No Rules’ approach. Join us for a discussion, demonstration, and tasting of several fermented foods. Come prepared to try many new foods!  [Fee - $25]
  • May 23, 2013: Spring Cleanse’ Class. Welcome spring by giving yourself a gentle and safe cleanse! Join us for a discussion of how to reduce the toxic load on your body with simple dietary and lifestyle changes. We will discuss how to provide digestive support for improved health and vitality during the Spring Cleanse.  [Fee - $15]
  • June 20, 2013:  No Rules Fermentation’ Class. (back by popular demand!)  Learn how to explore fermentation in a creative, rewarding, ‘No Rules’ approach. Join our most popular class, demonstration, and tasting of fermented foods. Come prepared to try many new foods!  [Fee - $25].
  • July, 2013:  No Class, Happy 4th of July!
  • August 1, 2013:  7-day Detox Diet. Summer is a great time of year to reduce the toxic load on your system. Join us for a discussion of gentle & safe ways to detoxify the body. Our cleanse includes take home recipes, meal planning, and resources for supportive therapies. [Fee - $15].
  • September 5, 2013:  Pickle Party. Learn how to ferment the perfect pickle! Join us for this hands-on class during which you will learn how to prepare several types of pickles, AND you will go home with your own hand-crafted jar of pickles. Recipes, instruction, tastings and more! [Fee - $39, includes jar of pickles to take home].

  •  December 4, 2014:  Holiday Class.  In this special Holiday Class join us in learning how to make healthy, delicious holiday treats and gifts. The menu includes Spiced Apple Kraut, Ginger Carrots, and many more sweet treats! [Fee - $25].

 

2015

Our New 3-part Fermentation Series:

Although not a requirement, but we encourage that you attend all three, since this is a three-part series of classes. Each class will contain information that will help in the subsequent classes. We do hope you can take advantage of this unique opportunity. Come to do some tasting, enjoy a complete demonstration, and take home some fun recipes to try. 

Learn the in’s and out’s of fermented foods and beverages! This series is designed to give you the benefits and basics of fermentation, the necessary knowledge and tools to ferment at home, and the resources and support to incorporate a wide variety of cultured foods into your daily diet. 

  • February 19, 2015:  Basics of Cultured & Fermented Foods.  Fundamentals of fermentation which an emphasis on how to get started fermenting using live cultures. Recipes include Whey and Rejevulac! [Fee - $25]
  • March 26, 2015:  Fermented Beverages.  Using the knowledge you gained in the Basics of Cultured & Fermented Foods class, we will discuss & demonstrate a variety of fermented beverages. Recipes include Kvass and Kefir! [Fee - $25].
  • April 30, 2015:  Fermented Vegetables & Brines.  Mastering the basic fermentation techniques at this point, we will learn how to ferment any and all types of vegetables. Recipes include Kraut, Brines, and Vegetable Ferments. We will also be troubleshooting any fermentation hiccups you may have encountered up to this point! [Fee - $25]
