PRACTITIONERS

Kendra Ward, LAc was the owner of a busy private practice, Unbroken Flow Acupuncture LLC, and is now a co-founder of Whole Family Wellness Center LLC. Kendra completed her acupuncture training at the New England School of Acupuncture in Boston, Massachusetts, the oldest and one of the most progressive acupuncture schools in the country. Kendra is NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) trained and certified, and has worked in recovery shelters, hospital units, and free acupuncture clinics. She has always been fascinated by healing in other cultures and in addition to her training in traditional Chinese medicine, Kendra has traveled to India, Nepal, and Tibet in order to study traditional Tibetan medicine.

Kendra has worked in the field of clinical research, participating in studies of mind/body medicine at the Mind/Body Medical Institute at Harvard University in Boston. Kendra received her Bachelor’s degree in Biopsychology from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts.

Kendra has a special interest in women’s health, and focuses her practice on all transitions in a woman’s life, from the first menstrual cycle to beyond menopause.

In her free time, Kendra is actively involved in the community of the Shambhala Meditation Center of Portland. She is an avid yoga practitioner, who loves to go trail running with her dogs, hiking with her husband, Igor, and spending time with their daughter, Selene. Some of her other interests include Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging), learning new languages, and gardening.
